Affogato al Caffe
Affogato al Caffe is a traditional Italian dessert consisting of a scoop of ice cream drowned in a shot of espresso. I personally love it and I often make it at home. Even though it is very simple to make it delivers on flavour especially when you use good quality ingredients like Dr Gelato. You can even add a cheeky shot of your favourite tipple to make it extra special. My favourite alcohol with this is amaretto, Kahlua, Baileys, Tia Maria and Frangelico to name a few.
Ingredients
- 3 x Scoops of your favourite Ice Cream
- 1 x 25ml Espresso Shot
- Extra Grated Chocolate
Print this recipe
Simply scoop your desired ice-cream out of its tub.
(I used my favourite – Dr Gelato, Roasted Hazelnut)
Add your ice-cream scoops to your bowl.
Add some shavings of grated chocolate – as much as you wish.
Pour over the espresso shot and enjoy!
