This stunning recipe is similar to a classic peppercorn sauce but with mushrooms and a few other tasty ingredients,
Ingredients
- 100ml x Atkins & Pots Classic Beef Gravy (or any beef stock or homemade if you have time)
- 1/2 x Small Onion (any is fine)
- 5g x Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
- 25ml x Double Cream
- Large pin of Salt
- 60g x Mushrooms (I used button)
- 1 x dash of Tabasco or Hot Sauce
- 1/2 tsp x Dijon Mustard
- 5 x dashes (5ml) of Worcestershire Sauce
- 10g x Butter
- 1 x Garlic Clove (Crushed)

Method
Finely chop the onion and crush the garlic then fry off in the butter until soft.
Add the mushrooms and cook for 2-3 mins.
Add the stock and reduce for 2 mins.
Add the cream.
Then add all the other ingredients, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and Tabasco or hot sauce and again reduce for 2 mins.
Tips
- Serve with steak and enjoy.
