Swoon Gelato is a family-run Bristol business with deep Italian roots, founded by the Forte family in 2016. Gelato has been in their blood for over a century—their Italian grandparents ran gelato bars across the UK, passing down traditional recipes and techniques through generations.

Bruno Forte, Swoon’s master gelato maker, trained at the renowned Gelato University in Bologna before opening the first Swoon store on College Green in Bristol. Today, the business blends heritage and innovation, creating both classic and inventive flavours in their on-site “Flavour Lab.”

As well as serving from their gelato bars in Bristol, Bath, and beyond, Swoon produces take-home tubs so customers can enjoy their award-winning gelato at home. Made in small batches with locally sourced Somerset milk, Sicilian pistachios, and other carefully chosen ingredients, the tubs are available in 125 ml and 500 ml sizes, featuring popular flavours alongside seasonal specials.

Swoon’s dedication to quality has earned national recognition, including the Great Taste Awards Supreme Champion title for their nocciola (hazelnut) gelato. They remain a proud Bristol business, combining local sourcing with the best of Italian gelato tradition.
