Marshfield Farm is a family-run farm and ice cream producer, dedicated to creating indulgent, high-quality ice cream that brings joy to families—pets included!
For over 35 years, three generations of the Hawking family have worked together to craft ice cream using milk from our own herd. Nestled in the Southwest of England, our farm uses sustainable, regenerative farming practices to produce the freshest milk, which is the base of our award-winning ice cream. From the field to the cone, every batch of our ice cream can be traced back to the land we call home.
Our story began in 1971 when Will’s parents moved to the farm. Back then, they farmed 300 acres of land using traditional methods, with just a handful of employees managing a small dairy herd of 35 cows. In 1988, Will returned from agriculture college with a vision to diversify the farm’s dairy business. Passionate about ice cream, he crafted the first flavour—Vanilla—which remains our best-seller to this day.
Over the years, Marshfield Farm has grown into a thriving dairy farm and ice cream business. Our herd of over 250 British Friesian cows now graze across 1,100 acres of regeneratively farmed land. The milk from these cows is transported just metres from the fields to our on-site ice cream factory, ensuring the freshest ingredients for every batch.
Today, we produce over 30 flavours of ice cream, all made with milk from our own herd. From humble beginnings, we’ve expanded our reach to supply over 8,000 independent parlours, cafes, and restaurants nationwide.
As of 2023, we’re proud to be B Corp Certified, reaffirming our commitment to balancing people, planet, and profit. At Marshfield Farm, we’re not just making ice cream—we’re creating moments of happiness while caring for the environment and community.
