Wiper and True

Born in Bristol, Wiper and True is an independent, family-run brewery set out with a simple mission: to make Beautiful Beer.

From weekend experiments around a newly planted apple orchard in 2012, founders Michael Wiper and Al True discovered that their home-brews delighted even the non-beer drinkers. That epiphany – “cor, that’s a Beautiful Beer” – became the spark that ignited everything.

With creativity at its heart, Wiper and True has journeyed from nomadic brewers, to a purpose-built, glass-fronted brewery in Bristol’s Old Market. It’s a space where art, science and hospitality meet. Here, the team pursue quality with the precision of master brewers, backed by German-designed kit, sparkling stainless tanks and careful fermentation. But the vision extends far beyond the equipment; for Wiper and True, Beautiful Beer means treating its team, suppliers, customers and community with the same integrity as the brew itself. 

Their range is intentionally accessible, from refreshing lagers and crisp pale ales, to hazy IPAs, decadent stouts and award-winning alcohol-free options. Whether you’re a seasoned beer devotee or someone who’s “never liked beer before but loves this one,” there’s something here for you.
