Deputy Manager

Full-time | Permanent | £35,000 - £38,000

Are you an experienced food retailer looking for your next challenge? We’re searching for someone for a brand new position of Deputy Manager, to help drive success in our biggest store; a role designed for a passionate leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, and has ambitions to progress.

As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading and developing a high-performing team, driving profitability, and delivering outstanding store standards. You’ll have a hands-on approach, ensuring excellent availability, top-tier service, and a well-executed operation. With a keen eye for commercial opportunities, you’ll maximise sales while keeping efficiency and profitability at the heart of what you do.

We’re looking for someone with proven leadership experience in food retail, ideally at Store Manager level, who is confident in making decisions, motivating teams, and delivering results. Key Responsibilities:

Run the store confidently and proactively in the absence of the Store Manager.
Work closely with the Store and Subway management teams, providing clear expectations and support.
Develop the skills of our wider management team.
Use business accounts and PowerBI to analyse store performance and take data-driven actions.
Deliver and focus on key KPIs.
Set and maintain the highest standards for retail operations, presentation and compliance across all areas.
Maintain exceptional operational and presentation standards, from the forecourt to the stockroom.
Show a passion for food, engaging with all our products and suppliers and sharing your knowledge with the team and customers.

Essential skills:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to run a store independently.
Experience in developing and supporting management teams.
Confident in reading business analytic tools (Power Bi, financial reports).
Proven ability to deliver and exceed KPIs, with a commercial mindset.
Experience handling ER issues and supporting HR processes.

Desirable skills:

5 years’ experience in a retail management role.
Knowledge of the convenience or forecourt retail sector.

Job Type – Full Time (5 days a week, Mon-Sun).

Pay – Starting salary of £35,000 with an increase to £38,000 upon successful completion of probation.

Work Location – Based at TOUT’S Langford (BS40).
