We are looking for applicants who have a good attention to detail, with great communication and relationship management skills. The role will require the use of multiple systems working alongside other finance team members and the wider business on a daily basis. What will the apprentice be doing?
Monitor & action all incoming paperwork & emails, including those in shared inboxes.
Answer telephone queries for finance & deal with/ resolve any issues.
Process transactions through the purchase & sales ledger, from initial paperwork through to the completion of the transaction including payment runs.
Process nominal ledger journals using appropriate accounting treatment.
Process cash transactions and undertake reconciliations.
Review and process all monthly business credit card statements.
Complete all month end and annual tasks assigned.
Provide support to the finance team.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting Level 2.
1 Day College attendance per week.
Regular Assessor contact to support you on programme and prepare you for your End Point Assessment.
Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths (where required).
You will be given 20% of your working week dedicated to your apprentice study, or Off the Job Training, to carry out self-supported study, compiling your portfolio or completing work set by your assessor.
